11/24/2023 0 Comments Too much cgi in star wars episode 9It's the only part of the movie that has actual storytelling. The only part of that movie that is watchable, is when Obi-Wan goes to Camino and discovers the clone army. I can't sit through almost the entire second half The Clone Wars because it's just wasted time on silly "action" scenes. ![]() Instead, we get nearly an hour of Anakin, Padme, and the droids going through a fiery assembly line on that "bug planet" and then another long scene in the bug stadium where they fight off dangerous creatures. Another HUGE wasted opportunity for storytelling. Instead they got us caught in galactic politics, the clone army, and other shit that took too long figure out. They could've included more of Anakin's transition in that movie after he tried to rescue his mother. Attack of the Clones was a massive waste of movie. Weird, because the idiotic Gungans who lived under water, had a much more sophisticated and futuristic sense of architecture. It always reminded me of classical Italian architecture. The Architecture on Naboo is something Hitler could have come up with. If it had all just been planned out and written down beforehand, it might have felt a little more calculated, I suppose.Īnd all that before Fisher even died, so trying to pin the failings on her death is utterly ridiculous Offsite Link by Anonymous I think part of the reason the movie feels like it goes to some unexpected places with the characters is that we had that freedom. I could also just take these characters where it felt right and most interesting to take them. That meant I could react to what I felt from The Force Awakens, and what I wanted to see. ![]() But I was truly able to write this script without bases to tag, and without a big outline on the wall. The third is where they all come together and you have to resolve everything. We know the first film is an introduction, then the middle act is training, meaning challenging the characters. There is definitely the idea that we know it is a three-movie arc. That’s what’s been really cool about the storytelling process. Is there an overarching plot for where the trilogy goes? You obviously have The Force Awakens as a jumping off point, but is there a place you need to get to, in order to set up J.J.
